Founded in 2024 by Managing General Partner Nate Kline, Cistern backs purpose-led founders building scalable solutions to America's greatest health challenges, from chronic disease and mental illness to environmental harm. Kline is a four-time founder and Inc 5000 honoree with more than two decades of experience in institutional finance. Before launching Cistern, he co-founded and served as Chief Investment Officer of OneWall Communities, and previously spearheaded more than $20 billion in private equity and M&A transactions at Fortress and Merrill Lynch. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Pennsylvania State University.
